1. Poem is read and repeated by an assortment of characters: Cory says "Good Morning" to the entire cast and charms them by giving candy to a boy.

2. Store Scene:  Eddie and clerk.  Eddie, envious of Cory tries to buy clothing to make himself more like him.

3.  Cory’s Office:  Mrs Baker (Cory’s receptionist), shows what a gentleman he can be.

4. Street:  Religious Man and Cory. First foreshadowing of trouble in Cory's li

5.  Street:  News vendor (Joe) is shamed by Cory

6.  Elevator:  Elevator Man (Frank), Louise, Cory. A meeting of all three as they ride the elevator up.

7. Cory's office: Cory announces he will be staying downtown this summer. Eddie expresses his ambition to be like Cory

8.  Elevator: Cory, Louise & Elevator Man (Frank) ride the down at the end of day.  Frank gooses Louise and she threatens to tell Mr Cory about him.

9.  Street: Joe the News Vendor and Cory

10.  Streetcar:  Florence and Grace discuss news of Cory's death

11.  Doctor’s office; Doctor dismisses Cory's concerns about his health

12.   Minister’s Office: Minister (Rev Davis) and Cory discuss a donation.

13.  Restaurant: Charlotte tells Richard Cory her plans for him this summer.

14.  Street:  Official announcement of Cory’s death.

15.  Restaurant: Max (head waiter) and Emily (Cory’s wife) make plans for Cory's birthday Party up on the Island

16.  Rose's Cafe: Cory first tries to tell a joke

17.  Cory’s office: Cory informs Mrs Baker that he is not going up to island this weekend

18.  Street: Louise and Cory make a lunch date

19.  Elevator: Eddie tells Frank how Mr Cory is now going to take criminal cases

20.  Library:  Cory asks for a book on Anthropology

21.  Gym: Cory tells Ted his ambitions for the summer.

22.  Rose's Cafe: Rose and Richard Cory dance.

23.  Street: Reporter and William (works for Cory) discuss gun

24.  Restaurant: Emily pleads with Cory to come back to the island.

25.  Street: Anarchist scene.

26.  Courthouse: Chester (a crook) and Richard Cory (defending Chester ) discuss his likely sentence.

27.  Street: Cory gives his political speech

29.  Cory's office: Chip (Cory’s son) tells Cory that he is in trouble again
